The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Ekiden Relay will take place on April 21, 2013 at 8:00 A.M. This team competition is for six participants with a registration fee of $300.  The Ekiden is open to companies/corporations and also to any collection of six individuals.  There are no gender restrictions: An Ekiden team can be all-female, all-male, or any combination of male and female runners. The Ekiden Relay presents a great opportunity to run in a team environment on the marathon course!  The Ekiden "legs" are 5K, 5K, 10K, 10K, 5K, and 7.195K.  Prior to the beginning of the marathon (at ~ 7:45 A. M.), buses will transport relay runners to their appropriate "stations" on the marathon course.  The buses will then remain at the stations to collect incoming relay participants and transport them to the finish-line area.
